My first chapbook, Stealing Dust, was published by Finishing Line Press in 2009. It was on the required reading list at two different colleges.
Back Cover Blurbs:
“The poems in Stealing Dust — like the blue collar Americans they portray — have no time for trends. They come from the wrong “side of town” smelling of the mill. They’re made out of hand-me-downs and factory grime. They’re populated by fathers, mothers, brothers, and sisters — tired, broken, haunted.” — Antonio Vallone, editor of Pennsylvania English and publisher of MAMMOTH books.
“Karen Weyant goes beyond the surface of the everyday lives of the characters who populate the poems in Stealing Dust, her first collection. Growing up in America is more than eating watermelons, dreaming of husbands, or canning. Her poems get deep into your skin like dust, like all good poetry.” — Jason Irwin author of Watering the Dead
